Robin Tyler, longtime heroine in the LGBT community, has done it again.

This time, it was at the Acme Comedy Theatre in Hollywood. Last Saturday, this talented entertainer, comic and political activist charmed and laughed her way through her two act, one woman show to a full house. She engaged the audience with her story of her lifelong struggle to support the LGBT community, chronicling how her razor sharp humor allowed her to survive in her early years. She was the first open lesbian on television, in clubs, and records. Her story began with her "coming out" at age 16. At that time, the "gay" lifestyle was a hidden one. Few women dared to "out" themselves. Robin chose to bring her story to the world, by using humor.

Robin has been waging the battle for years to have the LGBT community seen as whole human beings who should have civil rights. Her battles have been waged during her marches on Washington and then, at the Beverly Hills Courthouse in her marriage equality struggle to obtain same sex marriage licenses, they have continued as she sought to have AFTRA provide domestic partner health benefits to retired partners.

Now she stands side by side with her longtime friend, Attorney Gloria Allred (who was in the audience) and life partner, Diane Olson, as they present their case to the California Supreme Court for the right for same sex couples to marry.

The entire show was taped for a documentary to be show in theatres and on television.
